That Art Gallery, 2 Upper Maudlin St, Bristol
18th April – 7th May 2020
When That Art Gallery closed for the first Covid-19 lockdown, the gallery launched an ‘open call’ for images inspired by COVID to be displayed in the gallery windows.
204 were chosen and exhibited as polaroid images revolving in the windows of the gallery, situated close to one of Bristol’s major hospitals. Although the public had been ordered to Stay Home the city’s essential workers and NHS staff continued to pass the windows of the gallery.
My image depicts mushrooms as they emerge from a grow your own kit, which I watched and recorded closely as they changed day by day.
